FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT WILL MY FIRST SESSION BE LIKE?

This is a private residence so at time of booking, you will be sent an email with parking instructions.

If you are a new client you will be emailed an intake form prior to your massage. Please complete it 24 hours before your session to allow time to look over it.

When you arrive, we will chat about your history, injuries, any conditions, range of motion, etc. and your goals for the session.  I will leave the room for a couple minutes so you can undress and get comfortable under the blankets. I will enter the room and reposition you with bolsters, pillows, heat pads, whatever you need to be comfortable. You will be covered by the blanket at all times except for the body part I will be treating.

During the massage I will check in with you for feedback about the pressure but please feel free to speak up about pressure or temperature adjustments.

After the session, we will chat about home care (stretches, etc) and complete payment.

I offer Direct Billing to most third party insurance companies. Please ask before if you want to confirm if you insurance company can be direct billed to. If not, you will be issued a receipt that is claimable to your insurance group.

Forms of payment accepted are credit, debit, cash, and etransfer.

5 % GST will be added to each treatment cost.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

The private studio is in the back of our charming century home located in the central community of Bridgeland, Calgary. There is free parking in the back or front street and it is about a 10 minute walk to the Bridgeland C-train station.

For privacy reasons, the address will not be sent out until booking is confirmed.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Any cancellations or rescheduled appointments with less than 24 hours of notification will be charged the full session price.

When you miss an appointment, I not only miss your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Late arrivals will receive the best treatment possible within the remaining appointment time; full service charges still apply. By booking an appointment, all clients are agreeing to this policy.

ARE YOU REGISTERED?

I am a 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapist, in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta.

WHAT IS RAPID NEUROFASCIAL RESET AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM MASSAGE?

RAPID NFR is a treatment technique that combines precisely directed tension with passive and active movements in order to stimulate the nervous system. The goal is to reduce pain and restore normal function in the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Treatments are done with the client fully clothed, no oil is used.  A 30 minute session is recommended for 1-2 issues (low back pain and sciatic pain for example) and an hour for multiple issues (low back pain, sciatic, neck pain, for example).

Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes such as jogging pants or shorts and a tshirt if booking a RAPID session.
